HerzSt (Revelation 17:3-5) 3 … .. I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored animal, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of the immorality of the earth. 5 And on her forehead a name was written: Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.
Who is this woman? According to Rev. 18:9 “the kings of the earth” are mourning after the destruction of the whore. It is because of this fornication with the kings not logical that she is a political power.
NBV (Rev. 18:9) 9 The kings of the earth who committed fornication with her, and have lived in luxury, will lament and mourn for her when they see the smoke rising above her.
As the merchants of the empire become rich of her, it is not logical that she portrays the business world.
HerzSt (Rev. 18:15) 15 The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, will stand far away for the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning;
However, we can read that she practicizes magic and sorcery:
HerzSt (Rev. 18:23) … 23 By your sorcery all nations were indeed misled.
We can also read that this woman has blood debt to the saints and martyrs of Jesus.
HerzSt (Rev. 17:6) 6 I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. ….
The woman has a name on her forehead, Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. Babylon was a city of sin with several temples dedicated to many forms of idolatry. This gruesome idolatry has subsequently spread throughout the world after the confusion.
NBG51 (Jeremiah 50:2) 2 Declare you among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and don’t conceal: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is disappointed, Merodach is dismayed; her images are disappointed, her idols are dismayed.
NBG51 (Daniel 3:12) 12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded you: they don’t serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.
This makes it clear that the woman is the mother of the prostitutes , a picture of the global fornication by the adulterous relationship in relation to the Creator. Or the idolatry in all its forms. See for support the following Scriptures:
NBV (Ezekiel 6:9) 9 Those of you that escape shall remember me among the nations where they shall be carried captive, how that I have been broken with their lewd heart, which has departed from me, and with they eyes, which play the prostitute after their idols:
HerzSt (Revelation 2:14) 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.
This idolatry in all its forms has as main base Satan and his demons, or as in Eph.6 is written, “spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places”.
HerzSt (Ephesians 6:11-12) 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
This idolatry will also be sown in the Christian communities:
HerzSt (Revelation 2:20) But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
The scarlet colored wild beast that carries the woman:
A new beast on stage, also the last. “The wild beast was, but is not” means that it stands for something, but is not the same as what was. (see Rev. 17:7,8)
NBV (Revelation 17:7,8) 7 … .. I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. I’ll reveal the meaning of the woman and the beast on which she sits, with seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss and to go into destruction … … ..
HerzSt (Revelation 17:11,12) 11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is of the seven; and he goes to destruction. 12 The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour.
Because we are talking here, as with the previous wild beasts, again about a beast with seven heads and ten horns, this again is about powers. It is not a power of a kingdom as before (it was, but is not), but it looks like such a kingdom.
It is noteworthy that there is no mention of crowns as a public identification of the kings as with the previous wild beast. It is also not known as a religious form of power, because the woman as a symbol of idolatry is carried on the back. Then remains a financial power. This scarlet-colored wild beast – this financial power – has a close relationship with the “image” of the wild beast, the new world order, whom no man might buy or sell only who has the mark. The “image” of the beast is the political power, the “uncrowned” King is the financial power. This scarlet-colored wild beast carries the woman, the idolatry in all its forms, on his back, which means that this woman is supported by the financial system.
