The False Prophet; living in a world governed by power
Introduction:
In the previous newsletter, attention is given to love of money.
It is also explained in the previous newsletter that the love of money is equivalent to idolatry and that this idolatrous city – Babylon The Great – is on the point to ‘fall’. (Revelation 14:8)
But what about the current and latest world power and what is its status?
The undeniable current world power, the USA, has a tower high ascending debt of more than 21,000 billion dollars (http://www.destaatsschuldmeter.nl/amerika-verenigde-staten-vs-usa/) and they see with sadness that the oil price is low. The American economy is improving, but evenly, despite the increase in debt.
Would normally a low oil price then be favorable, it is not for the USA with substantial investment in the shale gas and oil industry.
The US has become virtually self-sufficient in oil, but not with the cheap techniques such as in the Middle East. US companies can get into trouble if the price remains low for too long.
Furthermore, the – weakened by debt – dollar as world currency is linked to the world oil market. It is for this reason that the exchange value of the dollar for a part moves with the height of the oil price.
In addition, this dollar-coupling can also simply be released by oil-producing countries as confidence in the dollar is waning.
In this newsletter we will look step by step to the powers of this world in relation to the aforesaid false prophet in the last days. (Revelation 19: 20)
To distinguish this false prophet, we first need to know what the worship of God is.
Now, how can we worship God?
Worship is proving glory to God. Worship is not a religious act but a religious way of life. Or as Jesus said, we have to love God with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind. (Mark 12: 29,30)
What are Satan’s thoughts (as most powerful ruler) about “love of God”?
That love of God is unfortunately not what God’s adversary Satan wants, who wants to be worshiped himself.
After Jesus had fasted forty days and forty nights, the Devil took Jesus to a very high mountain and he showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their glory:
ESV (Matthew 4: 9) 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”
Then Jesus said to him: “Be gone, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.” Then the Devil went away from Jesus..
Christians should know that Satan (or Beelzebub), is the leader of the demons, even the Jewish Pharisees knew this:
ESV (Matthew 12: 24-26) 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.”25 Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. 26 And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
Already in the first century, Jesus warned his disciples in Smyrna and Pergamum for Satan-worship:
ESV (Revelation 2: 9) 9 I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
ESV (Revelation 2: 12-13) 12 “And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword. 13 “‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
The throne of Satan was apparently the Pergamon altar dating back to approx. 180 before Christ.
Pergamon/Pergamus/Pérgamum (is the same) was in the current eastern Turkey. This place is now called Bergama.
This Pergamon altar was in 1878 exhumed by a German archaeologist and is now established in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin.
The antichrist
We live in exciting times where millennial-old prophecy’s becomes fulfilled or are about to be fulfilled, starting with the antichrist:
ESV (1John 2: 18,19) Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.
According to both “Strong’s Concordance” as according to “Vine’s Expository Dictionary”, antichrist means “against Christ” or “instead of Christ.”
1John 2: 18,19 shows, that there had been many antichrists in John’s time. These were people who did not put faith in Jesus as the Messiah. However according to John, THE antichrist still had to come.
The antichrists in Johannes days appeared to be deceivers:
ESV (2John 1: 7) 1 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.
With the words, that many deceivers have been entered into the world, spiritual deceivers are intended.
The antichrist is a liar and denies according to 1Joh.2: 22 Jesus as the Messiah but denies at the same time God the Father:
ESV (1John 2: 22) Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
John speaks in 1Joh.2 18 of THE antichrist in the last hour, but under whose influence is the spirit of THE antichrist?
Satan appears to be the kindred spirit of THE antichrist
Jesus was about the spirit of the antichrist, which is based on the spirit of Satan, clear to the Pharisees, because they also wanted to do the desires of Satan:
ESV (John 8: 42-44) Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Satan will use THE antichrist in the last hour, who at that hour will be fully aligned with Satan.
This antichrist in the last hour will be THE GREAT DECEIVER, the false prophet in Revelation displayed as the wild beast with two horns.
The foretold apostasy
Before the day of Christ comes, first the apostasy and THE antichrist, the son of perdition, must have come:
ESV (2 Thess. 2: 3-4) 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day shall not come, until the rebellion has come and the man of lawlessness, the son of perdition, was revealed four opponents, which also exalts himself above all that is called God or if God is worshiped, so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself as God.
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for apostasy – ἀποστασία – means as much as defection, rebellion, abandonment.
Many people will be rebellious in the last hour, according to the Scriptures.
That can mean nothing else, that Christians will be deliberately mislead by Satan and his demons by cunning gossip, which can easily undermine the faith of unstable Christians so that they develop a ‘rebellious spirit’:
ESV (1 Timothy 4: 1) 1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, …
According to Pew Research Center ‘Christianity will grow in the coming years worldwide, especially in China, but will lose Christianity terrain in the western countries and the US:

However, Christianity does not mean much for a large group of Christians.
Many baptized Christians already have pitifully few basic knowledge of the Bible, as an understanding of what means being “born again” (John 3: 1-8). Not even the pure Christian principles are built into their lives, such as being aware that Christians are stranger residents in this world:
ESV (1 Peter 2:11) Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.
Many people who were baptized or have been registered as a Christian, do not perform any Christian act.
Perhaps that in some parts of the world such as Africa or Asia is still limited Christian growth, the key marker of the Christian apostasy has already been passed in our view.
These last days will be accelerated as Christians do not want to believe Jesus words anymore by misleading stories, are put under pressure by Christian persecutors or apostasy by idolatry, such as love of money.

Regarding the persecution of Christians; according to the ‘Open Doors’ site, the worldwide Christian persecution (by mainly Muslims) increases every year.

According to El Shafie, head of One Free World International, there are currently worldwide between 200 and 300 million Christians persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ.
According to Open Doors, the most violent persecution appears to be in North Korea and the Muslim countries.
God “Allah” in the Qur’an is intolerant against especially Jews and Christians.
The prosecution – like deception and idolatry – is part of the rebellion, but by the rebellion at this time, we know that the era of the son of perdition, the false prophet, is very close:
ESV (2 Thess. 2: 3,8,9) 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,….. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,……
This son of perdition, the false prophet, will – according to the working of Satan – will soon be doing powerful signs and will exalt himself as God:
ESV (2Tess. 2: 4) 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Exalting above God has for sure to do with the creation.
But Scripture tells us that the creation was very good, extraordinary good.
Therefore it is depraved to do irreparable experiments with genetic material:
ESV (Gen. 1:31) 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good….
The “son of perdition” will sit in the temple of God
What is in this time than the “temple of God”?
According to Vine’s Expository Dictionary ” in 2 Thess. 2 verse 4 is used for “temple” the word “naos”, so this false prophet goes sitting into the holiest part of the temple.
God’s temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 after Chr. and there can now no longer be seated into
What can then be meant with the “temple of God”?
Jesus gives an example in which he compares his body with the temple of God:
ESV (John 2: 19-21) Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” 21 But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
Paul also gives an example:
ESV (1 Corinthians 3: 16-17) 16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For Gods temple is holy, and you are that temple.
It is clear that with the “temple of God” the Christians – every individual – are meant.
How can the “son of perdition” then sit as God in the temple of God?
In the letter to the church at Corinth, Paul continues:
ESV (2 Corinthians 6: 16-17) 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,….
Sitting in the temple of God can, according to 2 Corinthians 6: 16-17, mean nothing else than that Satan will succeed to mislead numerous Christians (God’s temple) by the idolatry.
Scripture calls us therefore emphatically not pursuit love of money as in (legal) financial organizations who only have an eye for profit, organizations that knowingly give false or incomplete information in their financial products, organizations with dubious tax structures etc.
Christians are warned of this. Get out of there! (Rev. 18: 4-5)
The same urgent advice is also reflected in the above Scripture 2Cor. 6:17 to “go out from their midst” and do not touch the unclean thing, not to be infected with this false love. (Matt. 6:24)
Jesus is very clear in this:
Christians must have love for the Father in Heaven and our neighbor. (Matthew 22: 36-40)
But not for the false gods or idols of these neighbors.
This son of perdition, the false prophet, will try to undermine the Christian love with all his might to make Christians apostates.
The climax of this period is also called the great tribulation. (Matthew 24: 21-22) (Revelation 7: 13,14)
What we also know about THE false prophet in the last hour
We know that the false prophet is the wild beast with two horns of Revelation.
This is evident from the signs he performs, as described in Revelation:
ESV (Revelation 13: 11,13) 11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon…. 13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people,
ESV (Revelation 19:20) 20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those……..
This false prophet is displayed as a beast with two horns.
Now a sheep has two horns, but in all other prophecies in Revelation, horns are meant as persons, like the 7 horns of the first wild beast.
The false prophet is thus most likely a combination of two persons.
In Rev.13: 11 the false prophet is described as having the appearance of an innocent lamb (Messiah), but with the false story of a dragon (Satan).
Jesus is in Scripture portrayed as a Lamb (John 1: 29) and Satan as a dragon. (Rev. 12: 9)
This false prophet is therefore the mouthpiece of Satan and a false Messiah.
ESV (Revelation 13:12) 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence,3 and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast,….
He exercises all the authority of the present world power, the USA, for his eyes.
ESV (Revelation 13:18) 18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.
The number of the false prophet is the number of a man; six hundred sixty-six.
Throughout Scripture this number is again found in 1 Kings:
ESV (1 Kings 10: 14-15) 14 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold, 15 besides that which came from the explorers and from the business of the merchants, and from all the kings of the west and from the governors of the land.
Solomon had a great financial wealth in his kingdom, he received 666 talents of gold per year, apart from various other revenue.
The man with the number 666 is (are) a person (2 persons) who has (have) available a lot of resources at this time, as King Solomon had.
According to Revelation the final days will be fulfilled during the 7th world power, which is the US.

The false prophet is the initiator of a ‘picture’ / ‘an image’ and makes it viable:
ESV (Revelation 13:15) And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak….

Because the US is the current world power, it is obvious that the false prophet almost certainly has a strong relationship with the US. Military world power can only be maintained if you are a world economic power, if you can afford it:
ESV (Revelation 13: 16-17) 16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.
The current currency system – based on the US dollar as the world reserve currency – is about to fall over, because the debt system is blown up like a bubble and can no longer be controlled by applying inflation.
We have named this new global money-system conveniently the New World Order. (NWO)
The false prophet forces all people to accept the mark of him. That mark consists of the name of the financial system or the number of the false prophet. He will ensure that only people with the mark can buy or sell. (Rev. 13:17)
The latter also means economic power towards banks and asset managers.
In Rev.13: 15 is written that absolute commitment will be required towards this new worldwide money-system, otherwise you lose your life. (See the justification for this: world powers 7. An “image” for the first wild beast)

What do we know from Revelation 13: 14-17 of this image:
- The ‘image’ is a picture of the first wild beast > the first wild beast itself stands for all world powers, now for the current military 7th world power, the USA
- This “image” receives breath and can speak > it is made viable
- The image can kill those who do not worship him > it has a lot of power for those who do not serve him
- The image has been made viable by the false prophet > it seems to be Satan
When we combine the information about this picture with 7 heads and 10 horns, it appears to be an umbrella organization with great power, where the financial / economic interests are central. According to this reasoning, this picture fits very precise to a new organization of agreements, global trade agreements with the US.
The false prophet, the son of perdition and how the net is closing
The apostasy is an important marker and this apostasy – in our opinion – is to note for every Christian. But with the apostasy will also be revealed the son of perdition, THE antichrist of the last hour.
The eighth kingdom, portraying the uncrowned 10 kings of the central banks, will reign for one hour:
ESV (Revelation 17: 11,12) 11 As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction. 12 And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.

Regarding the point of time of the arrival of the false prophet, there are now four distinct features:
- The persecution of Christians is fierce. (Luke 21:12)
- The apostasy among Christians has already come. (2 Thess. 2: 3)
- People have become greedy on a large scale (2 Tim. 3: 1-2)
- The 8th kingdom, the financial system of central banks, reigns. (Rev. 17: 11,12)
In this last period of 1 hour Biblical time we are living now.
We have already seen in the previous section, that the false prophet forces everyone to receive a mark, to be able to buy or sell afterwards. (Rev. 13: 15-17)
This financial mark of the false prophet predicts unfortunately not much good.
People with the mark will also suffer the wrath of God:
ESV (Revelation 14: 9-10) And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath,….
As we have argued before the false prophet has almost certainly a strong relationship with the US.
We can therefore not identify the false prophet ‘completely’ because we haven’t yet seen the powerful signs which he will do.
But we do have a guide, that is wealth like Solomon.
So let’s begin with an initiative of billionaires, the Giving Pledge.
The false prophet summary:
- He will appear during or immediately after the apostasy (2 Thess. 2: 3)
- He will exalt himself above God. This has almost certainly to do with creation. (2 Thess. 2: 4)
- He will sow among Christians a rebellious spirit with cunning thoughts and stories (1Joh.4: 1-3)
- He is a false Messiah with the lies of Satan (Op. 13:11)
- He exercises all the authority of the present world power, the USA, for its eyes (Rev. 13:12)
- He will do great signs, such as fire from heaven to deceive people (Rev. 13:13)
- He is the initiator of the new global money-system (Rev. 13:14)
- He forces everyone to receive a mark in order to buy / sell (Rev. 13: 15-17)
- He has a lot of resources available (Rev. 13:18), (1 Kings 10: 14,15)
The Giving Pledge campaign
In 2010 was the start of a campaign, The Giving Pledge, founded by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.
Pledge in this case means an agreement, signed by a philanthropist to donate half of his fortune to the society, it is not a legal contract.
These philanthropists must have at least $ 1 billion and be prepared to donate more than half to charity.
So a charitable club for billionaires.
A large number of very wealthy until now have signed to The Giving Pledge, such as Richard Branson, Larry Ellisson, Diane von Fürstenberg, Barron Hilton, David Rockefeller and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, or the Saudi prince Alaweed Bin Talal in the summer of 2015. ($ 32 billion)
But are here also comments to make?
At a meeting of The Giving Pledge in Santa Barbara was the hottest topic – according to an article in the ‘economist’ – ‘impact investing’, a phrase that describes how to invest money to make a profit and do good at the same time.
The amount granted does not have to be coughed up immediately, but can be donated during life or after death.
According to some critical philanthropists it is therefore a choice, or the money to the tax or to charity. Several philanthropists have not participated for that reason .
Christians are advised, not be willing to stand in the foreground as a benefactor.
These ‘benefactors’ are described in Scripture as hypocrites who want to be honored by men.
For Christians applies, that the left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing:
ESV (Matthew 6: 1-4) 1 “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. 2 “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Because this way of ‘doing good’ is at odds with the Christian way of life, questions raise about this charity.
Do these charitable foundations also have other interests?
Pablo Eisenberg, who works at the Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership at Georgetown University, is afraid that it only adds to the amount of mega-foundations. This can have bad consequences for democracy, because these foundations exert a lot of influence on the political agenda.
Many donations from the Giving Pledge are donated to a foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Is there now an organization that has strong ties with the US, which is also very wealthy and not of all good conduct? There is such an organization – in this respect – who strikes very much.
It is certainly not intended now to condemn the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation or designate as aforesaid false prophet, which does not mean that this organization in the future can manifest itself very differently ….

Introduction of GMO seeds; (Genetically Modified Organisms)
The technique of the transfer of DNA from one organism to another is given the name recombinant DNA (rDNA), and is called genetic modification or genetic engineering.
The most well-known is genetic engineering of food and agricultural crops such as corn, cotton and soy.
The adjustment is intended to make the varieties resistant to diseases or against certain pesticides and sometimes contain additional nutrients or to grow under worse conditions.
GMOs may also produce risk. They can cause allergies or harm beneficial insects.
Outside the laboratory exists in theory a chance that GMOs multiply and supplant other crops or cross pollinate.
The US biotech multinational Monsanto produces GM seeds among others.
In 2009, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) stated, “Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food,” including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal tract. The AAEM asked doctors to advise all patients, to avoid genetically modified food.

Beware of THE false prophet!
Jesus warned us about deceptive prophets, false prophets who will come to us in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are wolves:
ESV (Matthew 7:15) 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
That warning applies superlative degree to THE false prophet, the son of perdition.
We already have a clear idea from Scripture how the false prophet will manifest, but have not yet seen the powerful signs he will do.
As long as the false prophet does not do the powerful signs, such as fire from heaven, Christians can only be wary.
Always rethink that the Christian faith will for the most part disappear, the foretold great falling away (2 Thess. 2: 3). Islam will largely displace Christian faith.
Anon will be fulfilled the two witnesses prophecy. (Rev. 11: 3-15)
After that, waiting in loyalty is rewarded with the coming of Jesus and his angels:

Watch out and beware of the leaven (yeast)

The religious Jewish leaders used every opportunity to catch Jesus on his words. Jesus knew therefore what the disciples should undergo for tests and the attacks on their faith that awaited them:

We – Christians in this present time – will also be tested in this way and it is our own choice, to deny neither the Father nor the Son ever, but to remain faithful and not to develop any rebellious spirit.
All these attacks on our Christian faith seem to be based only on the ‘pretend’ of faith or good-doing, in other words it’s hypocrisy:
