12. Light bearers

12. Light bearers.pdf

The prophesied time has finally arrived;
Christians will unite themselves worldwide as light bearers;
Are you already prepared to become a light bearer in Christian unity?

In the previous newsletter, ‘The recovery of the paradise’, we have seen that our Heavenly Father has great love for his children.
God didn’t leave the first humans to their fate and has never released the plan of a human family on a paradise earth.
And in that new paradise on the new earth, natural death and old age will be no more:

KJV (Revelation 21: 3-4) 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

In this newsletter, God’s light is discussed and the basis for Christians, baptism.
Since ancient times, there was always light, light in the darkness.
Not the light of the heavenly bodies to be able to see, but the light that gives glory.
The light that freshens up and gives courage, the Divine light rays that bring extraordinary wisdom.
This light contains God’s personality and also the word of God, for God is just and holy.

Or, as the psalmist wrote:

KJV (Psalm 36:9) 9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
KJV (Psalm 80: 7) 7 Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
KJV (Psalm 119: 105) 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
ESV (Psalm 119: 130) 130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.

Walking in God’s light

Walking in God’s light has a very different meaning than walking into a literal light source.
It is a walk of life with a perfect guide, perfectly reliable in your own benefit:

ESV (Isaiah 2: 5) 5 O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord.
ESV (Isaiah 60:19) 19 but the Lord will be your everlasting light,
ESV (Micah 7: 8-9) 8 Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.

A (Divine) light was sent to earth

KJV (John 1: 6-12) 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Jesus was the light, the Word of God, which was sent to earth:

KJV (John 1: 1, 9) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God……9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Jesus is of Divine origin as Son of God and has been instructed by YHWH:

KJV (John 9: 4-5) 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Jesus went living in Capernaum as a great light, as foretold in Isaiah:

ESV (Matthew 4: 13-16) 13 And leaving Nazareth he went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: 15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, 14 the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, 16 the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”

KJV (Isaiah 9: 2) 2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined

By obeying God’s command, Jesus has become the first light bearer on earth:

KJV (2 Corinthians 4: 5-6) 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The (Divine) light is transferred to Jesus disciples

God knows no darkness according to Jesus:

KJV (1 John 1: 5) 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Jesus compares the Divine message of the disciples with a lighted city on a mountain.
That city is seen by everyone:

ESV (Matthew 5: 14-16) 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

This light must shine to the uttermost ends of the earth:

KJV (Acts 13:47) 47 For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ (See also Isaiah 49: 6)

The eye should be pure or sincere, every Christian should have an eye for the interests of others.
Who wants to be a light shiner may not harm these interests, may not contain darkness itself:

HCSB (Luke 11: 34-36) 34 Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light. But when it is bad, your body is also full of darkness. 35 Take care then, that the light in you is not darkness. 36 If, therefore, your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be entirely illuminated, as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Then Jesus announces that He – as light – will soon no longer be on earth:

KJV (John 12: 35-36) 35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light…..

Jesus gives Paul an instruction as a traveling light shiner:

ESV (Acts 26: 17-18) 17 …..and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you 18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Paul fulfilled Jesus task as light shiner:

ESV (2 Corinthians 4: 4) 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

The Christian communities get their righteousness by the righteous light:

ESV (2 Corinthians 6:14) 14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Paul warns the Christian communities for a deceptive light and encourages the Christians to put on the armor of light:

ESV (2 Corinthians 11: 14-15) 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

ESV (Romans 13: 12-14) 12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

However, children of the light are in darkness as they hate their brother:

ESV (1 Thessalonians 5: 5) 5 For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.
ESV (1 John 2: 9-10) 9 Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

If we walk in the light, we have fellowship in the blood of Christ for the forgiveness of sins:

ESV (1 John 1: 7) 7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus – his Son – cleanses us from all sin.

The predicted time has come, what is soon going to happen with the Christian light shiners?

God’s last plagues which must happen soon

The 3 woes

Seven angels are going to blow their trumpet, resulting in plagues on the people who have not turned to their Creator. The 5th, 6th and 7th trumpet are as three pangs of a woman giving birth.

Rev. 9: 1 5th trumpet 1st woe The abyss opens; locusts may torment men for 5 months.
The locusts are – are according to our research – the formerly imprisoned angels in Tartarus and get the power for five months to torment those, who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. (Rev. 9: 1-6) (See for information about the locusts: end time 4. Revelation; the 7 trumpets) https://www.dojc.nl/?p=6874&lang=en

Rev. 9: 13 6th trumpet 2nd woe A very large group of horsemen may kill the 3rd part of men.

<INTERSTATE SECTION> Revelation 10: 1 – 11:13 sacred mystery + measurement of the temple + the two witnesses’ prophecy

Rev. 11:15-17 7th trumpet 3rd woe The heavenly kingdom commences, where Jesus taught us to pray for (Matthew 6: 9-10), the kingdoms of the world have become of our Lord and of His Christ, the almighty God has become King.

  • The two witnesses prophecy

The last global preaching, the displaying of the Divine light, will be fulfilled during the great tribulation, exactly corresponding to the fulfilling of the two witnesses prophecy:

KJV (Matthew 24:14) 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

KJV (Philippians 2: 14-15) 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

This preaching work will be led by the two witnesses / saints and will be done with great power. (Revelation 11: 6). The preaching of Jesus was for three and a half years. The preaching work of the two witnesses will also be for 1260 days or three and a half years. And then God’s Kingdom will commence, Satan being thrown out of heaven (Rev. 12:9) and then with a trumpet of God (1Tess 4:16) the Son of man shall descend from heaven: (the second coming or Parousia)

KJV (Matthew 24: 29-31) 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

  • Will the light shiners be successful during the two witnesses’ prophecy?

A great multitude which no man can count will eventually stand before the throne of God and the Lamb:

KJV (Revelation 7: 9-10) 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Always remember in adversity, that also Jesus did not find a willing ear everywhere:

ESV (Matthew 11: 20-22) 20 Then he began to denounce the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you

Chorazin                                                               Bethsaïda

In the foretold days, which will come very soon, Christians will support each other shoulder to shoulder, to sanctify the Heavenly Father as the only possibility for salvation:

NAS (Zephaniah 3: 9) 9 “For then I will give to the peoples purified lips, That all of them may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.

But the harvest is great and there are few light shiners:

ESV (Luke 10: 1-3) 1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. 2 And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.

This last major work can only be successful if the light shiners have unity, be one:

ESV (John 17: 20-23) 20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

Why are Christians then so divided?
Many Christians have a different interpretation of Scripture.
Love among Christians suffers a lot hereof:

ESV (John 13:35) 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
KJV (John 17:26) 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

Also Paul calls for maintaining unity, especially now that Christian love is under pressure:

ESV (1 Corinthians 1:10) 10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

In the end time, the lawlessness will increase among men:

ESV (Matthew 24: 12-13) 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Baptism, the basis for light bearers

What is the reason to let yourself be baptized?
Is baptism forgiveness of sins?
No, forgiveness of sins is only possible through repentance on basis of the shed blood of Jesus:

KJV (1 John 1: 7) 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Christian baptism is therefore no forgiveness of sins, but opens up the possibility for this through Jesus sacrifice, when the new way of life of the disciple is approved.
In that case, baptizing also means, that we are baptized into Jesus’ death:

ESV (Romans 6: 1-4) 1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Baptism means to put off your old man and to put on the new man in justice:

KJV (Ephesians 4: 20-24) 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

With the baptism you will be coated with the characteristics of Christ:

KJV (Galatians 3: 26-27) 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

At that time, Jesus commanded baptism for all disciples in Matt. 28:

KJV (Matthew 28:19-20) 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:…..

And after believing Jesus’ words, the disciples were baptized:

KJV (Acts 2:41) 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
KJV (Acts 8:12) 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Before the disciples of Jesus began with baptizing, John the Baptist was already baptizing.
What was the reason of John the Baptist to baptize?
John the Baptist was asked by the Holy Spirit to baptize and knew that his baptism was a preparation for the Jewish people to the Messiah:

KJV (Luke 1: 16-17) 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, 17 and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.”

ESV (Mark 1: 2-4) 2 As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way, 3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight,’”4 John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

ESV (John 1:33) 33 I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

Also Jesus wanted to be baptized by John the Baptist, to fulfill all the righteousness:

ESV (Matthew 3:15) 15 But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.

Jesus was without sin, why was Jesus than baptized by John?

KJV (1 Peter 2:22) 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Concerning Jesus, His baptism was not intended as repentance for sins but the reason for His baptism was twofold:
First intended as an example for his disciples, to fulfill the Scripture (John 1: 33, Isaiah 40: 3-5)
Secondly intended to offer himself in righteousness to God to do His will. After his baptism, the Holy Spirit descended in the form of a dove upon Jesus and Jesus became the Messiah or anointed one:

KJV (Matthew 3: 16-17) 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

To answer the question whether the baptism of children is necessary, we must first return to the basic questions in the creation story.
The questions that relate to the first humans.

Adam and Eve

God had planted a garden in Eden (Genesis 2: 8), we call this garden ‘paradise’. It says in verse 9 that God made all sorts of trees grow out of the ground, pleasant to the sight and good for food and also in the midst of the garden the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve had no knowledge of good and evil. That changed after their sin.
Adam and Eve did not have to die if they did not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:17) When they ate of it, they were removed from paradise and therewith was the access denailed to the tree of life:

KJV (Genesis 3: 22-23) 22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 23 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (Genesis 1:31)
Everything was ‘very good’ or ‘extremely good’, i.e. all responded to God’s requirements.
It does not say that the whole creation was perfect, as we shall see later.
Adam became +/- 930 years old, but later God reduced men’s age to 120 years. (Gen. 6: 3)
Thus Adam and Eve had physical imperfection, but the tree of life could cure their possible physical defects or recover aging till eternity.
This will be exactly the same on the new earth, the tree of life will then be available for faithful people, whose leaves are for the healing and recovery of aging. (Rev. 22: 1-2)

Only God is perfect

People can strive for perfection, but God however is perfect:

ESV (Matthew 5:48) 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

People are created in God’s image and likeness, they are not a copy of God:

ESV (Genesis 1:26) 26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…..

After all, people cannot endure God’s appearance.
God dwells in an inaccessible light for people:

ESV (Exodus 33:20) 20 But,” he said, “You cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.”

KJV (1 Timothy 6:16) 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Adam and Eve were created with the power of choice, otherwise God wouldn’t have given them an instruction and have punished them for disobedience.
They were created in God’s likeness, but they had to strive voluntarily for perfection by remaining spiritually attuned to their Creator.
Their spirit was therefore filled with Holy Spirit, who withdrew when they sinned. Only then they were ashamed, that they were naked. (Genesis 3: 7)

The same is achieved by Christians nowadays by following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ. After baptism they can become more and more perfect through their way of life. On the new earth people will be forever on their way to approach the perfection of God.

Infant baptism

Infant baptism is included in many Christian nominations as a kind of Christian identity for the children.
From the foregoing section of baptism appears constantly, that it concerns the personal faith of the baptismal candidate, put on a new way of life and that it is not about of what the parents think of this. Also remember that children are sanctified by Christian parents:

KJV (1 Corinthians 7:14) 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

Newborn children have inherited bodily imperfection.
But have newborn children also inherited sin?

The original sin

KJV (Ezekiel 18:20) 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

The son shall not bear the iniquity or sin of the father.
So children inherit no sin of their parents according to Ezekiel 18:20.
Children are born pure and responsive.
It is for this reason that Jesus instituted their admissibility as an example. (Matthew 19: 13-14)

Death arising from the sin of Adam and Eve is caused by the denial of access to the tree of life and the withdrawal of the Holy Spirit. But all imperfect people sin:

KJV (Romans 3:23) 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
KJV (Romans 5:12) 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Both for the imperfection as for the original sin, infant baptism has no meaning.
In Scripture is not written about infant baptism in the first Christian communities.

Perfection again summarized:
Creation was very good.
Adam and Eve did not have a perfect body, the tree of life was needed.
Adam and Eve had no perfect choice, they could choose to sin.

Also angels are not perfect.
It is written that God can not lie (Titus 1: 2), but Satan is imperfect because he is a liar. (John 8:44)
Angels once went into a relationship with the daughters of men (Genesis 6: 1-2), what they were charged of as a gross sin. (2 Peter 2: 4-5)

The original sin only concerns the denial of access to the tree of life and the withdrawal of the Holy Spirit with regard to the first humans.

Dipping or immersion:

The Greek word Baptism (a) means dipping or immersion:

Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words
Baptism, Baptist, Baptize:
“Baptism,” consisting of the processes of immersion, submersion and emergence (from bapto, “to dip”), is used

Strong’s Concordance
Cognate: 908 baptisma – baptism (note the -ma suffix, emphasizing it is a result, i.e. or sincere repentance.) 908 (baptisma) indicates submerging (dipping, immersion)

Jesus was immersed in the Jordan River:

KJV (Matthew 3:16) 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:….

Baptism means that a disciple is dipped in water and comes out of this up.
That is the explanation why Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, where was plenty of water:

KJV (John 3:23) 23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized

The baptism is a choice that every Christian must make for himself if someone believes Jesus’ words, and wants to belong to Jesus.
About the use of infant baptism, every Christian parent must decide himself.
However, the personal (adult) choice for a baptism for ratification of a new Christian way of life is not free of obligation. (Matt. 28:19)

Finally:

Now that we have seen what an important role the light shiners will soon fulfill during the two witnesses prophecy, it is important now, to be prepared as a Christian and thus been baptized in all convinced beliefs.
When after the great tribulation (after the two witnesses prophecy) then ultimately arrives God’s great day, the war at Har–Mágedon, that day will be a day of great darkness:

ESV (Amos 5:18) 18 Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord!
Why would you have the day of the Lord? It is darkness, and not light,

ESV (Zephaniah 1: 14-15) 14 The great day of the Lord is near, near and hastening fast; the sound of the day of the Lord is bitter; the mighty man cries aloud there. 15 A day of wrath is that day, a day of distress and anguish, a day of ruin and devastation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

For what dangers should light bearers watch out now?

KJV (Colossians 3: 5) 5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

For a light bearer, it is a struggle to remain approved for God in this immoral greedy world.
It is also never a fight against persons, against people of flesh and blood, but against reprehensible powers that manipulate the world ‘in an evil way’, or reprehensible spiritual ideologies and idolatry which are all the fruits of this world in darkness:

KJV (Ephesians 6:12) 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

What reward and delightful future will the Christian light shiners receive?

KJV (Revelation 21: 23-24) 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

On the new earth, light shiners may grow for ever (by Holy Spirit) on the road to perfection.
Do not be distracted or brought into confusion.
This glorious future on the new earth is a divine promise!
It is a great privilege to be light bearer:

ESV (Luke 19: 39-40) 39 And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” 40 He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”

Now it is the highest time for worldwide unity among the Christian light bearers. (John 17: 20-23)
