4. The promised Messiah

Jesus-Messiah-4.pdf

An exposition of Jesus’ life meant for young and old, to clarify the deeper meaning of the Messiah.

In the previous section, part 3, we have extensively discussed the spiritual leaders in Jesus days and how Jesus corrected them:

NKJV (Luke 11: 52-54) 52 “Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.” 53 And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to assail Him vehemently, and to cross-examine Him about many things, 54 lying in wait for Him, and seeking to catch Him in something He might say, that they might accuse Him.

In His teachings, Jesus often spoke of how important ‘forgiving’ is and emphasized that it has profound consequences when we do not forgive:

NKJV (Matthew 6: 14-15) 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Forgiving of our neighbor will be the theme of this writing, especially how Jesus handled this, how Jesus acted and what His teachings were, and the teachings in Scripture.

Theme: The ‘Forgiving’ of our neighbor

be alert to the sign of Jesus’ coming

Jesus pronounces in John. 17 an intense prayer towards his heavenly Father concerning his disciples:

KJV (John 17: 14-17) 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

What do these words mean in John 17, to be ‘no part of the world’?
This will be the theme of this newsletter, because it is at the end times namely of utmost importance to interpret these words of Jesus and the corresponding protection correctly, our life depends directly from this.
