Daniel’s visions compared to Revelation;

Daniel 7 describes – four huge beasts – 4 world powers, by which the people of God, beginning with Nebuchadnezzar, would be suppressed.
The lion (the Babylonians), the bear (the Medo-Persians), the leopard (the Greeks) and the fourth beast (the Romans). In Daniel 7: 3-7 a description is made of these wild beasts with their characteristics. Every beast represents a kingdom or world power, and the horns in that world power represent the kings.

KJV (Daniel 7:23) 23 “Thus he said: ‘As for the fourth beast, there shall be a fourth kingdom on earth…
KJV (Daniel 8:20) 20 As for the ram that you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia.
